Dentistry isn't just Dr. Erica's career - it's been her whole journey. She began in the
field as a dental assistant, advanced to dental hygienist, and ultimately earned her
Doctorate of Dental Surgery from NYU College of Dentistry- a path that gave her a rare,
firsthand understanding of the patient experience from every side of the chair. That
perspective shapes everything about how she practices today.
Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Erica underwent residency at NYC Health +
Hospitals/Harlem, a Level I trauma center, where her training went well beyond the
typical dental office. She provided comprehensive dental care, repaired head and neck
lacerations via suturing in the emergency department, and assisted in OR oral and
maxillofacial surgeries - setting the tone at the start of her career for the drive beyond
conventional general dentistry.
Over more than 20 years in the field, she's treated patients across Manhattan, Brooklyn,
and Staten Island before making her way to the Jersey Shore. What's kept her here is
simple: the patients and the sense of community. Little Silver is where she's chosen to
put down roots.
Dr. Erica provides the full range of general dentistry - restorations, crowns and
bridges, root canals, extractions, bone grafting and socket preservation, and TMJ Botox
treatment. She's also worked closely alongside Dr. DeRario, gaining hands-on
experience placing and restoring dental implants.
But cosmetic dentistry is where her heart is. She has a genuine eye for detail and loves
the process of facially-driven smile design - figuring out what will make a smile look
effortless and natural for a particular patient. Her cosmetic work includes Invisalign,
whitening, cosmetic edge bonding, composite and porcelain veneers, and elective
gingivectomy/gingivoplasty, whether the goal is a subtle refresh or a full transformation.
More than anything, Dr. Erica believes dentistry works best when it's built on trust. She
takes a holistic approach to care and genuinely enjoys getting to know her patients -
not just their teeth, but their stories - building relationships that grow over years, not
just single visits.
Outside the office, she's happiest with her husband and their two children, Sammy and
Maya. She loves cooking and experimenting in the kitchen and is always up for trying a
new restaurant with friends.
